Love the little star blocks you mixed in too! And all those fussy cut squares... what a great job your bee mates did.<br />The look of this quilt reminds me of what you see when you fly over the Plains farmland in America. The patchwork looks like little fields. One name that comes to mind is Lines Drawn, since it looks (in an odd way) like in each block, the 'box' has 'drawn a line in the sand' and positioned itself next to or on that line..but then all the lines are going in different directions. A bit like society! Unfortunately I have a feeling the general reaction to that name would be "huh?". Lovely quilt and so much possibility for interesting quilting. Have fun!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7365133311894008279.post-34798340461988697962015-04-10T12:59:43.392+01:002015-04-10T12:59:43.392+01:00What a fun quilt! Stick with me for a minute :) I think it looks like farms (the little color squares being one 'farm') and the white strips roads. I am not sure how farm parcels work in Ireland but where I grew up (on a farm) the farm land was basically set on a square grid. And yes, sometimes the roads just ended :) Just what I thought of when I saw it. And it does make me happy as it reminds me of my childhood. . . a LONG time ago LOL Judy@Quilt Paradigmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04853567189199120222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7365133311894008279.post-61333899779512593752015-04-09T15:46:03.073+01:002015-04-09T15:46:03.073+01:00I'd call it "Neither Flag nor Fail"....I'd call it "Neither Flag nor Fail". For a name, I keep playing around with the thought that you took an idea from the backing of another quilt, so "back to front" or "flip it" (flip it also with the notion that the orientation of the blocks changes the way the 1" pieces "hang")... neither of those seem right to me, but maybe they give you an idea to play with?Yvonne from Quilting Jetgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15705160384198590025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7365133311894008279.post-12258895529426998542015-04-09T12:41:18.886+01:002015-04-09T12:41:18.886+01:00Great job.
